Quote : Know the dog, know the safety.
The program focused on three key, child-friendly safety rules:

1. Be a Doggy Detective: We taught the children to always be observant and to never approach a dog they don’t know without a grown-up's permission. 
2. Don't Tease a Doggy! We emphasized the importance of treating dogs with kindness and respect. The students learned to give dogs their space, especially when they are eating or sleeping, and to never pull their tails or ears.
3. Tell a Grown-Up Immediately: The most important lesson of all was what to do if they ever get bitten or scratched by a dog. We empowered them with the knowledge that the first and most crucial step is to tell a parent or teacher right away so they can get help.
