Wild vs. Domestic
The classroom was buzzing as students sorted our toy collection into two distinct habitats.

  • The "Farm & Home" Team: Students identified animals like cows, sheep, and dogs that live alongside humans.
  • The "Jungle" Team: Roars and trumpets filled the air as lions, tigers, and elephants were placed in their wild habitats.

Birds vs. Insects
The challenge didn't stop there! The children then put on their "microscopes" to distinguish between our feathered friends and our many-legged neighbours.

  • The Flyers: Identifying birds by their wings and beaks.
  • The Crawlers: Counting legs and spotting antennae to correctly group the insects.

Beyond just having fun with toys, this activity helped our students develop:

  • Critical Thinking: Analysing physical characteristics to make decisions.
  • Vocabulary: Learning specific names for species and their habitats.
  • Fine Motor Skills: Precise movement while segregating small figures.
