Content : Algebraic Thinking
We used four different mediums to bring our mathematical thinking to life:

1. Shape Cut-outs on Sheets
Using coloured paper shapes, students practiced spatial awareness.

  • The Task: Students glued triangles, circles, and squares onto sheets to create "Border Patterns."
  • Key Skill: Recognizing patterns through geometry.

2. Colour full Beads
Beading is excellent for fine motor skills and logical sequencing.

  • The Task: Stringing beads to create "Pattern Necklaces."
  • The Result: A wearable reminder of $A-B-C$ sequences!

3. Coloured Pencils
Precision meets creativity! Students used pencils to design "Rhythm Patterns."

  • The Task: Drawing repeating lines (long, short, long, short) or alternating colour to fill a grid.
  • Key Skill: Translating abstract ideas into 2D art.

4. Colour Chalks
We took our learning to the floor (or chalkboard)!

  • The Task: Using thick chalks to create large-scale patterns.
  • Why it works: Using big arm movements helps kinaesthetic learners internalize the "repeat" concept.
