There is something magical about the moment a child realizes that math isn't just an objects—it’s in the kitchen, on the playground, and in the grocery store. Recently, our students took a deep dive into the world of Weights and Measures, exploring how we quantify the world around us.

The children practiced using different units of measurement to describe the objects they interact with every day. Here is a look at the vocabulary they mastered:

Weight: From the tiny Gram (g) used for a single tomato to the heavy Kilogram (kg) used for a plate of fruits and vegetables, the children practiced weighing items to see which "tipped the scales."

Litres: We experimented with water and juice containers, learning that small and are measured in Millilitres (ml), while the big bottles in our fridge are measured in Litres (l).

Length : Using rulers and tape measures, students discovered that small things like a eraser and sharpener are measured in Centimetres (cm), while the length of a cloth is best measured in Metres (m).
